Ochlockonee River State Park, Sopchoppey, Florida

We left Wewahitchka with Pam and Bob following us and headed to Apalachicola for breakfast before heading out to Ochlockonee River State Park to camp overnight on our way to Weeki Wachee. We hiked the river trail and spotted several of the rare red-cockaded woodpeckers. We enjoyed happy hour on a bench overlooking the river before settling in under the Cutie awning for a dinner of grilled pork chops and baked apples and pork and beans. We had a few raindrops but it waited for overnight for a steady drenching. We were underway by 8 am headed to St. Mark's for breakfast.
