Dr, Julian G, Bruce St, George Island State Park, Saint George Island, Florida

We've been birdwatching before here at St. George Island but this is the first time we camped. We walked the nature trail to Gap Point past the primitive campsites seeing bald eagles and other birds along the way.

Nice sheltered and shady nature trail

Woodpeckers galore

The nature trail also had 20 fitness stations

On Monday morning, we walked the nature trail along East Slough and across the entrance road to the beach pavilion. The wind was howling so walking the beach route did not seem appealing. We packed up camp and headed to High Point.
