Government Camp, Oregon to Florence, Oregon

We slowly made our descent from Mount Hood in the mist to Zigzag Cafe for breakfast. Our route took us through Portland and then close to Eugene past Christmas tree farms, flower nurseries and cherry and apple orchards. We also passed by dozens of vineyards in Willamette Valley until we hit the Pacific Scenic Coast Highway. We camped near Florence at Tyee Campground in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area in the Suislaw National Forest. We set up camp along Suislaw River and spent July Fourth weekend there.

We continued on to 7 Devils's Brewery in Coos Bay for a late lunch and enjoyed the outdoor seating and live bluegrass music.
