Newhalem, Washington to Government Camp, Oregon

We got up at 5 am to get an early start headed out of the national park and through Seattle and Tacoma on our way past Portland, Oregon to Government Camp in the Mount Hood National Forest. It was interstate all the way until we finally got to Mount Hood Village and stopped for gas, groceries, and lunch at Barlow Trail  Roadhouse. We camped at Still Creek Campground in the Mount Hood National Forest. Our site was right along Still Creek. We took the Barlow Road Wagon Trail to the Snopark and to Government Camp Alpine Village and the ski lift. The mosquitoes were vicious so we snuggled in the camper for happy hour and made it an early night. We are out of cell phone range in the National Forests.
