Ouray, Colorado to Santa Rosa, New Mexico

We got up at sunrise and cooked breakfast in the chilly 46 degrees quite the contrast from the heatwave we drove through yesterday. Our drive took us out of the San Juan Mountains and onto the plateaus of New Mexico. We traveled past Albuquerque along the old Route 66 stopping in Santa Rosa State Park for the night. We had a few local brews at 1865 Brewery and then searched for a Mexican Restaurant. We stopped at the four restaurants in town all overwhelmed with crowds and long wait times so we headed back to our campsite for a happy hour dinner of munchies.
