Pecan Grill and Brewery, Harvest Host, Las Cruces, New Mexico

We left Albuquerque heading towards Owl Cafe for breakfast close to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. Both places we had visited before but well worth seeing again. We had the best sausage and green Chile burrito with egg and potatoes for breakfast. We took the north loop through the refuge stopping at the flight deck for observing ducks and seeing sand hills cranes, snow geese and harrier hawks that we could identify. From there we headed back to the interstate towards Las Cruces and the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. We had to rush through the exhibits as it closed within an hour but it was a warm and sunny afternoon to see the outdoor exhibits and animals. Then it was a short drive downtown to the Pecan Grill and Brewery. We parked in a pull through parking spot and headed to the back porch where they had heaters on and football on the big screen. The pecan ale beer was stunning as well as the dinners of pecan crusted chicken and a green Chile chicken pasta alfredo. We walked across to the indoor mall and wandered around Barnes and Noble while using their free WIFI to download pictures. Now back in the RV for a relaxing glass of after dinner wine.

Known for their green Chile cheesburgers
