Cullman, Alabama to Ocoee, Tennessee

Leaving Guntersville State Park after some rain showers overnight, we headed towards Cherokee National Forest near Ocoee, Tennessee. We wandered along the winding road along the Ocoee River to the Waterfront Park the home of the 1998 White Water Rafting Competition. We had a picnic lunch and then hiked the Rhodendron Trail and the Bear Paws Loop trail before driving to the Parksville Lake Campground part of the National Forest. Another rain shower as we put up the tab awning to relax under the tall trees. We walked around the campground past the river and over by the lake under the lush towering trees.
