Versailles, Kentucky to Mogadore, Ohio

We left at first light from Wildside Winery and could still see the spectacular event lighting over the pavilion in the dark as we waited for daylight. We headed straight to Mogodore first on the backroads and then the interstate before stopping for lunch at Hopping Frog Brewery. What a great spot for a late lunch of smoked pork nachos and charred peppers with a flight of local brews right down the road from Countryside Campground. We got the screened-in porch set up in case of rain. We headed off to Beef O'Brady's to meet up with the Morrow family and out-of-town guests for Lynn's Memorial service. It was great to catch up with American Red Cross folks we worked with in DC.

We spotted a local restaurant for breakfast and then drove to St. Patrick's Church for the memorial service followed by burial in the family plot in Hudson, Ohio. We toasted with a shot of Irish Whiskey. The weather was perfect for an outdoor luncheon at Black Iron Grille in Kent that followed. It was a beautiful gathering as we shared memories.

The next day, we visited the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and parked near Hunt Farm along the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Bike Trail, and hiked the trail and also a path to Elliott Covered Bridge. We visited the farm stand for fresh-picked heirloom tomatoes and lettuce mix, honeydew melon, and a multigrain homemade bread along with indulging in a fresh strawberry, banana, and pineapple sundae. We picked up fresh ears of corn to grill as that was one of the snacks the bicyclists were enjoying
