Watertown, New York to Plattsburgh, New York

We packed up and left Southwick Beach and headed into Watertown as it started to drizzle. We stopped at Panera's for breakfast and the rain stopped as we ate outside under the umbrella. We continued on the Great Lakes Seaway Trail stopping at Alexandria Bay of the Thousand Islands where we spotted the Boldt ad Singer Castles on the island only accessible by boat. We stopped in the Cornwall Brothers Store and Museum with it's great exhibits on the lake racing boats.  Along our drive along the Saint Lawrence Seaway we stopped at Eisenhower Lock near Massena and watched a half dozen pleasure boats get locked through from Lake Ontario to Lake Champlain. We drove along the Lakes to Locks Passage of Lake Champlain on our way to Plattsburgh and our Harvest Host stay at Valcour Brewing Company for the night. We got there for an early dinner on the balcony of the old barracks with a buy one get one free beer. We hiked the Empire State Bike Trail into town and watched the Irish Celtic Dancers on the street corner. We spotted Campus Corners Cafe as a breakfast spot with outdoor seating for in the morning.
