Beauport Municipal Campground, Beauport near Quebec City, Quebec, Canada

We got an early start from the brewery to La Mauricie National Park in Shawnigan. We bought our Parks Canada Discovery Pass so from now on it will be free for entry to the National Historic Sites and National Parks. We did a great hike with lots of climbing to great vistas overlooking the lakes. We looked for a spot for lunch in the picnic areas and they were full so we ended up at the visitor center for a picnic lunch. We had a two-hour drive past Quebec City to Beauport. We have a beautiful shady site where we set up our screened-in porch. We took the car to a Park and Go and boarded the bus into Old Quebec City to sightsee for two days.

The second morning we woke up to light rain so put on our rain jackets and walked the mile from the Park and Ride to the bus stop. We headed to the same coffee shop and then to the Musee des Plaines of Abraham. We enjoyed the video presentation and three floors of exhibits in the military museum. Just after we dried out, we got soaked after we walked through the battlefield park to the  Martello Tower One with an interactive tour of the fortification tower. The sun came out as we had a late lunch in the shopping area near the cable car.
