We had a pleasant and quiet evening among the vines and left in the morning with a cup of coffee to find a Tim Horton's for a scone. We went on the express route on the Queen Elizabeth Way Toll Road to Oastler Lake Provincial Park. We were set up by 1:30 pm with the screened porch set up with the rain fly. It is a pretty wooded site close to the lake. We drove into the town of Parry Sound to the Trestle Brewing Company and got a seat at the bar overlooking the water and both the pedestrian and train trestle bridges. After a wonderful cold brew and lunch of barbeque pork poutine and a huge soft pretzel with beer cheese, we walked the fitness Waterfront Trail. It took us by the Big Sound Marina and town dock and the Coast Guard Station. By the time we made it back to the campground after stopping at Walmart, it started to rain. We bought all the ingredients for Instant Pot beef stew for dinner but ended up snacking instead.

The rain continued all evening and all night and we woke up to a misty morning. We packed up our laundry and headed to the mall at Parry Sound with our coffee to do laundry. We got ahead of the crowd and enjoyed drinking our coffee on the porch outside. As Tim Horton's was so crowded, we headed back to camp and made an air fryer frittata with potatoes, tomatoes, and ham with the eggs that were delicious. The rain continued as we headed to Kilbear Provincial Park to hike the trails. We hiked the Lighthouse Point Trail, the Lookout Point Trail, and the Twin Points Trail. We had misty rain for a while but the rain jacket kept off the mosquitoes as well. Back at the campground, we fixed our Instant Pot beef stew and air fryer Mexican cornbread for dinner.

This morning we indulged in cooking corned beef hash and eggs for breakfast. We then drove into Parry Sound to the Tower and Heritage Gardens. It was still cloudy and overcast when we drove to Bala to Muskoka Lakes Farm and winery. We did a wine tasting of their cranberry and blueberry wines on the patio overlooking the cranberry bog followed by a cranberry cider and cranberry oatmeal cookies. We took to the hiking trails of their "bogs to bottle" tour and learned so much. We then headed into the town of Bala and walked to the falls and the Bala Falls Pub for fish and chips and a brew. Next, we headed to Port Carling to see one of the locks on the Trent Severn Waterway.
